From Editing, filming content to working behind the scenes, to now doing something with just your voice, not showing your face and is out of my comfort zone was defiantly a complete change. It was also the best thing that could ever happened.
Why I Started a Radio Show?
The reason I started to do a radio show was because I thought it would be something fun to do and help explore something outside that I am not used to doing before. I have started thinking of doing a radio show around December 2022 during finals week in my first year at Drake. It was something at the time I was messing around with in my head and was unsure if it was something I really wanted to do, so over winter break I have decided to think it over before doing anything.
Once second semester has started again I have decided to go ahead try doing a radio show, I told myself that if it was something I didn’t enjoy then that was alright and I know for next year to not do it again. Not only that but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. Which was the best thing that could’ve happened. The best thing about it is that drakedbs help show how to use the equipment for the radio booth.
How Was the First Show
My first radio show was in my freshman year, I was a bit nervous and scared. This was my first live radio show that I would ever get to do and who knows how many people will be listening. I will admit that I was really nervous even though there probably wouldn’t be many people listening to the first show but I still couldn’t stop being nervous. I made an agenda plan and picked out the certain music that I would be using for the first show.
Everything went well because I went early to go make sure everything was working well and I knew what to do but one sad thing was I didn’t record the first show. Which is alright because for the second show I was able to learn from that mistake and the second time it was much better.
